1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text strings that a website can store in the browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can remember settings or identifiers without using a traditional cookie.
Technical tools needed to provide a feature requested by the visitor do not require consent. Analytics and other non-essential tools remain disabled until the visitor takes an affirmative action.
2. Necessary tools
These tools provide the choices and functions explicitly requested by the visitor. They are not used for advertising or profiling.

The key “ephera-theme” is stored in the browser’s local storage to remember the light or dark theme selected by the visitor. It persists until it is removed from the browser. It is technical and contains no user identifier.
3. Analytics tools — disabled by default
If the visitor accepts the “Measurement and statistics” category, the site loads Google Analytics 4 in basic consent mode. No Google tag, cookie or consent ping is sent before acceptance. Advertising storage, advertising user data, Google Signals and ad personalisation remain disabled.

4. Give, refuse or withdraw consent
“Accept all” and “Reject all” are offered at the same level and with equivalent visual prominence. Optional categories are off by default. Closing the banner is treated as a refusal. Your choice can be changed at any time using the button below or the permanent footer link. Withdrawing analytics consent deletes accessible GA cookies and reloads the page without the Google tag.
You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent the selected language or privacy choice from being remembered, causing the banner to appear again.
5. How long the choice is remembered
The site remembers the choice for approximately six months. The banner may appear sooner if the processing conditions or third parties change materially, if the policy version changes, or if the browser no longer contains the consent cookie.
6. Updates and contact
The cookie list is reviewed when the site’s technologies change. A material change resets the saved choice and requests consent again where required.
